Genuine Oreck Type BB bags fit Oreck compact canister and handheld vacuums with a Type BB bag dock, including the Oreck Super-Deluxe Compact Canister (BB880-AD). Each pack holds eight Select allergen paper bags, made in the USA. Oreck's part AK1BB8A replaces its older PKBB12DW bags.

- Oreck BB870-AD, BB870-AW and BB880-AW compact canisters
- Oreck BB1200DB Compact Canister

Not sure which bag you need? Look for "BB" on the bag you're replacing, or check the model number on the canister's label. Send us your model and we'll confirm the fit before you order.
Why genuine Oreck bags matter
-
Allergen filtration. Oreck says the Select bag traps 95% of particles at 1.0 microns.
-
Antimicrobial coating. The pack notes an antimicrobial coating on the paper to reduce odor on the filter.
-
A matched collar. The cardboard collar is sized for Oreck's Type BB dock, so the bag seals where it should.

What's in the box
- 8 Oreck Type BB Select allergen paper bags
Oreck's older PKBB12DW pack included a replacement micro filter. Oreck's listing for AK1BB8A doesn't mention one. For the BB880-AD, Oreck lists the replacement micro filter as part 72005-01.
When to replace it
-
Every 30 days: Oreck's Super-Deluxe Compact Canister guide recommends a fresh bag every 30 days, even if the old one isn't full.
-
Sooner if suction drops: a full bag is the first thing Oreck says to check when the canister has low suction.
-
To change it: stand the canister on its back, twist the knob counterclockwise and lift off the front plate. Swap the bag, seating its cardboard rim in the recessed top, then refit the plate. Check that the white bag gasket in the housing is in place.
Expert tip
"Compact canisters fill fast because the bag is small. If you use yours for stairs or cars, keep an extra pack on the shelf and stick to Oreck's 30-day change even when the bag looks half empty. While the front plate is off, glance at the white gasket, because a missing gasket lets dust bypass the bag."

Do they fit Oreck handheld vacuums?
Yes, if the handheld has a Type BB bag dock. Oreck says the AK1BB8A fits all Oreck handhelds with BB bag docks.
