Oreck Magnesium Bag Dock 83056-01 for LW100 and LW1500

This is Oreck's bag dock, part 83056-01, for the Oreck Magnesium LW100 and LW1500 uprights. The dock sits inside the outer bag and holds the inner bag's cardboard collar against the connector. Replace it when the dock is cracked, its door won't latch, or the bag collar won't stay seated.

Oreck's parts lists for both models show 83056-01 as the bag dock.

Not confirmed for the Discover. The Discover takes the same Style LW bags, but we couldn't confirm that it uses this dock. Send us your Discover's model number before you order.

Not sure you need a dock? Check the collar first. If a new bag's collar slides in straight and the dock door still won't close or hold, the dock is the problem.

What it does

• Holds the bag in place. The bag's cardboard collar slides into the dock, which seals it to the connector so dirt goes into the bag.
• Opens for bag changes. In Oreck's Magnesium guide, you pull the tab on the bag to release the dock from the connector, and the dock door hinges down so the old bag slides out.
• Works with the Saniseal collar. The bag's Saniseal dust seal closes as the collar leaves the dock.

When to replace it

The dock is inside the outer bag, where you change bags. Oreck doesn't publish steps for swapping it, so if you'd rather not do it yourself, our technicians can fit it for you.

"Before you replace the dock, try a fresh bag. A collar that's been bent or pushed in crooked can make a good dock look broken. If a new collar still won't hold, or the door is cracked, replace the dock, because a loose collar lets dust past the bag."
