Oreck Orbiter Motor Kit 09-53340-01 for ORB600 Series Floor Machines

This is Oreck's motor kit for the Orbiter 600 series, part 09-53340-01. It's the drive motor for Oreck's ORB600 Orbiter multi-purpose floor machines, which sand, scrub, strip, polish and deep clean carpet. Installing it is a repair job, and our technicians do this work.

Oreck's parts lists for both models show "Motor Kit (Orb600 Series)" as part 09-53340-01.

Not for the Orbiter ORB700. The ORB700 series uses a different motor kit, part 09-53411-01. Older Orbiter models also use different motor kits, so check yours before ordering.

What it does

• Drives the pad. The motor turns the flywheel and counterweight that give the Orbiter its random-orbit motion.
• Mounts to the motor plate. On the ORB600 parts list, the motor kit sits on its own motor plate under a chrome grill (motor cover).

"Before you replace the motor, check the cord, switch and relay. They're cheaper parts, and they can make a good motor look dead. If the motor is the problem, have the bearings and flywheel checked at the same time so the new motor isn't running against worn parts."
