It's the best fit if you want to start embroidering with a generous hoop, and you also sew garments or quilts and value IDT dual feed.
Good to know before you buy: the 640 uses a 3.2-inch monochrome screen with buttons, not a color touch screen. It has no Wi-Fi, so designs travel by USB. It comes with one hoop, and its stitches are 7 mm wide, not 9 mm. The 640 was a limited-edition model, and PFAFF no longer lists it on its US store.

"The 640 ships with one hoop, the 240 x 150 mm Master Hoop. You can stitch small designs in it, but center them and use a firm stabilizer so the fabric doesn't flag. If you embroider lots of small monograms, PFAFF's optional creative Petite Metal Hoop (100 x 100 mm) is a good second hoop. Resize and recolor designs in PREMIER+ 2 Intro before you save them to the USB stick."
