Dial simplicity with speed and needle control

• Set your top speed. The speed control slider limits how fast the machine sews, even with the foot pedal pressed all the way down.
• Pivot without losing your place. The needle up/down button raises or lowers the needle and sets where it stops, so you can turn corners and appliqué with the needle down.
• One-step buttonholes. Place the button (up to 1 inch) in Automatic Buttonhole Foot R and the machine sizes the buttonhole to it. Foot C handles larger buttons.
• Settings at a glance. The Sewing Guide Reference Chart on the machine recommends the foot, stitch length and width, thread tension and presser foot pressure for your fabric.
• Stitches for wovens and knits. 18 utility, stretch and decorative stitches, with adjustable length and width.

"Set the speed slider near the slow end while you learn, or whenever you sew curves and topstitching. You can floor the pedal and the machine still won't go faster than the slider allows. For corners, press needle up/down so the needle stops in the fabric, lift the presser foot, pivot and lower the foot again."
