Genuine Oreck belts, part 0300604, fit every Oreck XL upright, including the Oreck Commercial XL2100RHS and U2000R-1. Each pack holds three belts. Oreck recommends a new belt every six months, so one pack covers about a year and a half, with a spare stored in the base plate.
Fits these Oreck vacuums
Not needed on the U2000RB-1. The Oreck Commercial U2000RB-1 comes with Oreck's EnduroLife belt, which Oreck says doesn't need changing. Ask us before ordering standard belts for it.
Not for the Magnesium. Oreck's Magnesium parts lists show a different flat corded belt, part 83002-01.
Not sure which belt you need? Oreck XL belts are printed "ORECK XL 0300604", as in our photo. Check the old belt or the spare in your base plate, or send us your model number and we'll confirm.

When to replace it

Every six months: Oreck's XL user's guide says to replace the belt every six months.

Sooner if the brush slows: replace it if the belt is stretched or cut, or the brush stops turning.

To change it: unplug the vacuum. Take the spare belt from its storage channel, remove the hold-down screw on the side of the power head and slide the door forward. Lift off the old belt, loop the new one over the motor shaft and onto the brush roll pulley, then turn the brush roll three full turns so the belt sits straight. Refit the door and screw.
Expert tip
"When you put a new belt on, put a fresh one in the storage channel too, so you're never stuck mid-clean. Clear hair and string off the brush roll while the door is open, because a wrapped brush wears belts out faster."
