Good to know before you buy: the Presto 2 comes with 7 feet, and none is a 1/4" quilting, walking or free-motion foot, so quilters should plan to add them. It has no knee lifter, 8.3 inches of space instead of 12, and manual thread tension.

"You can piece accurately on the Presto 2 before you buy a 1/4" foot. The bobbin cover markings are for stitches with the center needle position, and the needle plate markings are for the left needle position, so match the guide to the straight stitch you chose. Sew a test seam on scraps and measure it before you cut a whole quilt."

Is the Presto 2 the same as the Presto II?
Yes. Baby Lock writes it as Presto II, model BLMPR2.
What's the difference between the Presto 2 and the Brilliant?
Both have 8.3 inches of space, 850 stitches per minute and an automatic thread cutter. The Brilliant adds 90 more stitches, a knee lift and 14 feet, including walking, 1/4" and free-motion feet.
Does the Presto 2 have a knee lifter?
No. You raise the presser foot with the presser foot lever.
Can I free-motion quilt on the Presto 2?
Yes. Lower the feed dogs with the switch on the back of the machine and attach a free-motion foot. Baby Lock's free-motion open toe quilting foot (BLSR-FMO) is sold separately.
Presto 2 or Jazz II for quilting?
Pick the Jazz II for large quilts and a knee lifter, or the Presto 2 for an automatic thread cutter and 100 stitches.
