Miele SET 220 Electro Telescopic Wand 6594726 for Miele Electrobrush Canisters

The genuine Miele SET 220 is an electro telescopic wand for Miele canister vacuums that run a motorized electrobrush. It connects the handle of the electric hose to the electric floorhead and carries power down the wand, so the electrobrush plugs in at the bottom with no separate cord. It adjusts to your height. You get one wand, Miele part number 6594726.

Fits these Miele vacuums

• Miele canister vacuums with an electric suction hose and an electrobrush, such as the SEB 228 Electro Plus
• Replaces a damaged, bent or sticking SET 220 electro telescopic wand

Which electro wand do you have? Miele's current electro canisters, the Classic C1 Cat & Dog, Classic C1 Home Care, Guard L1 Electro and Blizzard CX1 Cat & Dog, come with an electro telescopic wand. Miele's US site doesn't publish a model list for the SET 220, and Miele also sells it in an obsidian black finish under a different part number. Send us your vacuum's model from the rating plate under the canister, or the part number on your old wand, and we'll confirm the match before you order.

Not for straight-suction models. Canisters with a non-electric hose, such as the Guard L1 Cat & Dog, Guard M1 and Boost CX1, use a non-electric wand. Miele's HES telescopic wand is its straight-suction option.

What it does

• Carries power to the floorhead. Miele describes the SET 220 as the connecting piece between the hand-piece and the electric floorhead.
• Telescopic length. Slide it longer or shorter to suit your height and reach under furniture.
• Genuine Miele parts. Miele's SEB 228 manual says faulty electrobrush, electric hose and electric wand components should only be replaced with genuine Miele parts, and Miele's US limited warranty excludes failures caused by non-genuine parts.

• Check it: plug in, switch on and confirm the electrobrush roller runs before you start cleaning.

Miele's official video on this page shows the SET 220 being replaced step by step.

Expert tip

"Don't use the wand as a handle to drag the canister around the room. That bends the tube and strains the electrical contacts. Move the canister by its carry handle, change the length only with the release button, and never force the wand past where it stops."

Frequently asked questions

Will the SET 220 fit my Miele?

It's made for Miele canisters that run an electrobrush through the wand. Miele doesn't publish a model list for it on its US site, so send us your model and we'll confirm before you order.

Can I use it on a vacuum without an electric hose?

It won't power anything on a straight-suction model, and those models use their own non-electric wand. Look at the HES telescopic wand instead.

Do I need it to run an SEB 228?

The SEB 228 needs power at the end of the wand, which comes from an electro wand like the SET 220 on an electro model. If your vacuum already has a working electro wand, you only need the electrobrush.
