Riccar R25P-F HEPA Media and Charcoal Filter Set for R25P Clean Air Premium Pet Upright

The Riccar R25P-F is the genuine replacement filter set for the Riccar R25P Clean Air Premium Pet upright vacuum. Riccar's manual lists it as a HEPA media and granulated charcoal filter set, and one set replaces both filters in the vacuum: the post filter and the secondary filter.

Fits these Riccar vacuums

• Riccar R25P Clean Air Premium Pet upright

Not for the other R25 models. The R25D Clean Air Deluxe takes Riccar's R25D-F set, and the R25S Clean Air Standard takes the Riccar R25S-F filter set. The newer R27 Clean Air uprights use Riccar's RF27 set.

Not sure which R25 you have? Of the three R25 models, only the R25P has dirt sensor lights on the nozzle. You can also check the model number on your vacuum or in your owner's manual, or send it to us and we'll confirm the fit.

Why genuine Riccar filters matter

• Two filters in one set. A HEPA media filter cartridge for the post filter position and a granulated charcoal filter for the secondary filter holder.
• Made for the R25P. Riccar's manual and its R25 filter-change video both match R25P-F to the R25P.
• Warranty protection. Riccar's R25 manual says to use genuine Riccar bags and parts, and warns that other products can reduce cleaning performance, damage the vacuum and may void the warranty.

What's in the box

• 1 HEPA media filter cartridge (post filter)
• 1 granulated charcoal filter (secondary filter)

Bags are sold separately. Riccar's HEPA media bags for the R25 series are part R25HC-6.

When to replace it

• When a filter is clogged. Riccar's troubleshooting guide lists a clogged filter as a cause of weak suction. If suction is still low with a fresh bag in, replace the filters.
• Don't wash them. Riccar's manual says these filters can't be washed and reused.
• Annual checkup. Riccar recommends having the vacuum checked once a year by an authorized retailer, which is a good time to put in fresh filters.

Unplug the vacuum first. Post filter: it's on the side of the vacuum. Push down on the tab at the top to remove the used cartridge, set the tabs on the bottom of the new cartridge into the vacuum, and snap it into place. Secondary filter: pull the filter holder straight out of the front of the vacuum, replace the filter under the tabs in the holder, and slide the holder back in.

Expert tip

"Change both filters at the same time, and do it right after you put in a new bag. Then if suction still isn't right, you know the bag and filters aren't the cause and it's time to look for a clog in the hose or nozzle. Riccar's video for the R25 series walks through the whole change."

Does it fit the newer R27 Clean Air uprights?

Can I wash and reuse the filters?
