Riccar R25S-F Electrostatic Filter Set for R25S Clean Air Standard Upright

The Riccar R25S-F is the genuine replacement filter set for the Riccar R25S Clean Air Standard upright vacuum. It includes an electrostatic post filter (3.5 x 4.5 inches) and an electrostatic secondary filter (3.1 x 2 inches), so one set replaces both filters in the vacuum.

Fits these Riccar vacuums

• Riccar R25S Clean Air Standard upright

Not for the other R25 models. The R25P Clean Air Premium Pet takes the Riccar R25P-F filter set, and the R25D Clean Air Deluxe takes Riccar's R25D-F set. The newer R27 Clean Air uprights use Riccar's RF27 set.

Not sure which R25 you have? Check the model number on your vacuum or in your owner's manual. The R25S is the Clean Air Standard, and it doesn't have the R25P's dirt sensor lights. Send us the model number and we'll confirm the fit.

Why genuine Riccar filters matter

• Both filters in one set. An electrostatic post filter and secondary filter, sized for the R25S's two filter positions.
• Made for the R25S. Riccar's manual and its R25 filter-change video both match R25S-F to the R25S.
• Warranty protection. Riccar's R25 manual says to use genuine Riccar bags and parts, and warns that other products can reduce cleaning performance, damage the vacuum and may void the warranty.

What's in the box

• 1 electrostatic post filter, 3.5 x 4.5 inches
• 1 electrostatic secondary filter, 3.1 x 2 inches

Bags are sold separately. Riccar's HEPA media bags for the R25 series are part R25HC-6.

When to replace it

• When a filter is clogged. Riccar's troubleshooting guide lists a clogged filter as a cause of weak suction. If suction is still low with a fresh bag in, replace the filters.
• Don't wash them. Riccar's manual says these filters can't be washed and reused.
• Annual checkup. Riccar recommends having the vacuum checked once a year by an authorized retailer, which is a good time to put in fresh filters.

Unplug the vacuum first. Post filter: it's on the side of the vacuum. Push down on the tab at the top to remove the used filter, set the tabs on the bottom of the new one into the vacuum, and snap it into place. Secondary filter: pull the filter holder straight out of the front of the vacuum, replace the filter under the tabs in the holder, and slide the holder back in.

Expert tip

"On the R25S, the full-bag indicator turns red when the bag is full or something is clogged. If it stays red after a new bag, pull the secondary filter holder at the front and look at the filter before you go hunting for a clog. Keep a spare set with your bags so you can swap both filters on the spot."
