Riccar R70 Accessory Package R70AP for the R70 Multi-Clean Deluxe Smart Mop

The genuine Riccar R70 Accessory Package (part R70AP) turns the handheld vacuum from your Riccar R70 Multi-Clean Deluxe Smart Mop into a stick vacuum for carpet, rugs and hard floors. It adds a dry vacuum nozzle with LED headlights, a metal wand, a flexible stretch hose and three cleaning tools, plus mounts that store everything on the R70's base.

Fits these Riccar vacuums

• Riccar R70 Multi-Clean Deluxe Smart Mop & Vacuum

Not a standalone vacuum. The package has no motor or battery of its own. It runs from the R70's detachable handheld vacuum, and its mounts attach to the standard R70 base. Riccar says to buy it with your R70 or after you own one.

Not for other Riccar models. Riccar lists the package for the R70 only. Not sure which model you have? The model is on the rating plate. Send it to us and we'll confirm the fit before you order.

What it does

• Makes the R70 a stick vacuum. Attach the nozzle to the wand and the wand to the handheld to vacuum carpet, rugs and hard floors. The nozzle also fits straight onto the handheld.
• Lights the way. LED headlights on the nozzle light the floor when you vacuum in dimly lit areas.
• Pet tools. The motorized Pet Fur & Upholstery Power Tool has a soft, long-bristle brushroll for pet areas, upholstery, mattresses and stairs. Riccar says the Pet Grooming Brush works on cats and dogs without getting fur everywhere.
• Reach. The bendable long dusting brush reaches fans, lampshades and corners, and the stretch hose gets into cars and behind furniture.
• Secure fit. Riccar says every attachment connects with a button lock.

How to use it

• Set up storage. Fit the accessory mount to the R70 base, and assemble the storage mount to hold the nozzle, wand and hose.
• Stick vacuum. Lift the handheld out of the R70, click the wand onto it, then click the nozzle onto the wand.
• Above-floor cleaning. Use the dusting brush or power tool on the wand or the hose.
• Grooming. Use the pet grooming brush only on the end of the flexible hose. Riccar says never to put it directly on the R70 handheld.
• Brushroll care. The nozzle's brushroll comes out for cleaning. Riccar shows how in its R70 Accessory Package videos.

Expert tip

"Keep the R70 in wet mode for sealed hard floors and use the accessory package for everything dry: rugs, carpet, crumbs and pet hair. Vacuum dry debris first, then mop, and your brushrolls and dirty-water tank stay much cleaner. Clear hair off the nozzle brushroll every few uses."

Frequently asked questions

Do I need the R70 to use this?

Yes. The package is powered by the R70's handheld vacuum and stores on the R70 base. It won't work without the Riccar R70.

Can the R70 clean carpet with this package?

Yes, dry. The R70's wet mode is for sealed hard floors only. With the accessory package, the handheld becomes a stick vacuum for carpet, rugs and hard floors.

Can I put the pet grooming brush on the handheld?

No. Riccar says the grooming brush must be used on the flexible hose, never directly on the handheld.

Does it fit the Riccar R65 or other stick vacuums?

No. Riccar lists the package for the R70 only, and its mounts are made for the R70 base.
