The Pfaff Passport 2.0 is a 13.9-pound computerized sewing machine for sewists who carry their machine or store it on a shelf. You get Pfaff's Original IDT dual feed, 70 stitches up to 7 mm wide and a hard cover, so quilt layers, silky fabrics and stripes feed evenly.

Why buy from Imagine Sewing & Vacuum

  • Authorized Pfaff dealer. Pfaff only honors warranties on machines bought from authorized dealers, so your Passport 2.0 is covered by Pfaff's 10-year limited warranty.
  • Sewing specialists since 1922. We've helped sewists and quilters choose the right machine for more than a century.
  • Factory-trained technicians. The people who service Pfaff machines can help with setup, IDT and tension questions, before and after you buy.
  • Free shipping on orders over $299. This machine qualifies.

Pfaff features in a machine you can carry

  • Even feeding on tricky fabrics. The Original IDT system feeds fabric from the top and bottom at once, so layers don't shift and stripes line up.
  • Easy to take along. At 13.9 pounds, with a carry handle and hard cover, it goes to retreats and workshops and stores on a shelf.
  • 70 stitches, picked by number. Utility and stretch stitches, four buttonhole styles, quilt, needle art and satin stitches, all up to 7 mm wide.
  • Sew without the pedal. The Start/Stop button and speed slider keep long seams and free-motion work steady, up to 800 stitches per minute.
  • Precise placement. 29 needle positions, needle up/down and automatic tie-off help you topstitch, pivot and finish seams neatly.
  • Room for thick layers. An extra-high presser foot lift and adjustable foot pressure help with denim hems and quilt sandwiches.
  • Free-motion ready. Lower the feed dogs from the back of the free arm for stippling and darning.

Is the Passport 2.0 right for you?

It's the best fit if you want IDT in a light machine you can carry to sewing groups, or you sew in a small space and put the machine away after each project.

Good to know before you buy: the thread cutter is manual, not automatic, and the display is a small numeric LED rather than a graphic screen. You get 5.7 inches of space from the needle to the tower, so large quilts feel cramped. There's no lettering. The free-motion foot is sold separately, and the extension table in one photo isn't included.

Expert tip

"Press the presser foot button before you start a new stitch. If a dot shows in the lower right corner of the display, engage IDT. Leave IDT off with the 2A fancy stitch foot and the 5B buttonhole foot. If your fabric suddenly stops feeding, check the feed dog slide at the back of the free arm. It's easy to nudge by accident."

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between the Pfaff Passport 2.0 and 3.0?

Both have IDT, 7 mm stitches, 29 needle positions and 5.7 inches of space. The 3.0 adds automatic thread snips and has 100 stitches instead of 70. It weighs 14.7 pounds.

Is the Passport 2.0 computerized?

Yes. You select stitches by number, and the machine presets the width and length, which you can adjust.

What is IDT?

IDT is Pfaff's Integrated Dual Feed, a built-in walking foot that feeds fabric from the top while the feed dogs feed from below. You engage or disengage it in seconds.

Can you quilt on the Passport 2.0?

Yes, for piecing, stitch-in-the-ditch and smaller quilts, with free-motion using the optional open-toe free-motion foot. For bed-size quilts, a machine with more space is more comfortable.

What needles and bobbins does it use?

Household needles, system 130/705H, and Pfaff bobbin 416475801. Five bobbins come in the box.
