Miele HX-FSF-2 Fine Dust Filter for Triflex HX1 Facelift, HX2 and HX3

The genuine Miele HX-FSF-2 is the replacement fine dust filter for Triflex HX1 Facelift, HX2 and HX3 cordless stick vacuums. Its pleated material traps the fine dust that gets past the dust container, and Miele recommends a new one about every three years. One filter comes in the box.

Not for the original Triflex HX1. HX1 vacuums made before the Facelift take the HX-FSF filter. The two look alike, so check before you order.

How to tell them apart: the HX-FSF-2 has a yellow band under its black top cap. The original HX-FSF has an all-black top with a "Pull" tab. Compare it with the filter in your vacuum, or send us your model and we'll confirm the fit.

When to replace it

• Every three years: Miele recommends a new HX-FSF-2 after about three years to keep cleaning results up.
• Before every emptying: twist the fine dust filter cap to run ComfortClean (on the HX3, three half-turns counterclockwise). Run it again whenever suction starts to drop.
• Every three months: clean the fine dust filter and pre-filter thoroughly. Hold the fine dust filter over the trash and knock its rubberized lower edge, turning it as you go.
• No water. Miele says not to clean this filter with water, brush it or clean the inside, because that damages it.

"Make the ComfortClean twist a habit every time you empty the bin. It takes five seconds and keeps the filter from loading up. When you put a new filter in, write the date on a piece of tape on the charger or wall bracket so you know when three years are up."

Will the HX-FSF-2 fit my original Triflex HX1?

No. Miele lists the HX-FSF-2 for the HX1 Facelift, HX2 and HX3 only. The original HX1 takes the HX-FSF.

Does it fit the Triflex HX3 Aqua models?

Yes. Miele lists the HX-FSF-2 for all Triflex HX3 cordless stick vacuums, and the HX3 manual names it as the fine dust filter.

Can I rinse the filter?

No. Water can damage it and make it less effective. Tap it clean over the trash instead.

How do I know it's worn out?

Miele's troubleshooting guide says reduced cleaning performance can mean a worn fine dust filter. If running ComfortClean and cleaning both filters doesn't help, fit a new HX-FSF-2.
