mySewnet Embroidery Software Gold 2021, Boxed Edition (Windows and Mac)

mySewnet Embroidery Gold 2021 is the middle level of the boxed, one-time-purchase edition of mySewnet Embroidery Software for Windows and Mac. mySewnet built Gold to help you digitize with step-by-step wizards: turn artwork, photos and monograms into stitches without learning full digitizing. This is an older 2021 boxed version: mySewnet is now called CREATIVATE, and the box gets maintenance fixes and new hoop support, not new features.

Works with these computers and machines

• Windows: Windows 10 or later, 4 GB of RAM, 4 GB of free disk space.
• Mac: macOS 10.15 Catalina or later with an Intel processor (the only kind CREATIVATE lists), 4 GB of RAM, 4 GB of free disk space.
• Both: a 1280 x 720 display and internet access.
• Wi-Fi send to CREATIVATE (formerly mySewnet) enabled machines: PFAFF creative icon 2, creative icon, creative expression 750 and creative expect 350; Husqvarna Viking Designer Epic 3, Designer Epic 2, Designer Epic, Designer Ruby 90, Designer Sapphire 85, Designer Brilliance 80, Designer Quartz 29 and Designer Topaz 65.
• Other embroidery machines: save in your machine's format, such as .vp3 (Pfaff and Husqvarna Viking), .pes (Brother, Baby Lock, Bernina), .jef (Janome) or .dst (Tajima).

Not a membership. Gold 2021 is a copy you own. New features and unlimited Design Catalog designs come only with a paid CREATIVATE membership.

Not the full digitizing toolset. Freehand and point digitizing, Stitch Editor, Draw & Paint, Cross Stitch and ribbon embroidery are in mySewnet Platinum 2021. If you only want to letter and decorate ready-made designs, mySewnet Silver 2021 covers that.

What it does

Gold includes everything in Silver (editing, lettering in 35 shapes, frames and borders, SuperDesigns, Encore, Endless and Split Project), plus:

• Express Design: a step-by-step wizard that creates an embroidery from an image.
• PhotoStitch: turns a photo into an embroidery.
• More wizards: Express Monogram, WordSculpt, Spiro, Family Tree, Quilt Block and Project in the Hoop.
• Embellish: Decoration and Appliqué tools, and importing fonts from embroidery designs.

How to install it

• Create or sign in to a free CREATIVATE account.
• Enter the activation code from the box on CREATIVATE's software activation page.
• Download the Windows or Mac embroidery software from CREATIVATE's Get Software page and install it.
• New computer later? Sign out of the old one under My Account, Machines.

Expert tip

"Feed Express Design clean, high-contrast artwork, like a simple logo or clip art. It converts far better than a busy photo. Save PhotoStitch for well-lit portraits, and always stitch a test on scrap fabric with the same stabilizer before the real piece."

Frequently asked questions

Will Gold 2021 work with my embroidery machine?

Very likely. It saves in all the major home embroidery formats, and CREATIVATE-enabled Pfaff and Husqvarna Viking machines can also receive designs over Wi-Fi.

Does it run on a Mac?

Yes, on Intel Macs. CREATIVATE lists only Intel processors, so ask us before ordering for an Apple-silicon Mac.

What's the difference between Gold and Platinum?

Gold digitizes for you through wizards. Platinum adds the manual tools: full digitizing, the Stitch Editor for density, cutwork and emboss effects, Draw & Paint, Cross Stitch and ribbon embroidery.

Is this the newest version?

No. It's the 2021 boxed edition, and mySewnet (now CREATIVATE) has since moved to memberships. Your copy keeps working without one and gets bug fixes and hoop support, not new features.
