mySewnet Embroidery Software Platinum 2021, Boxed Edition (Windows and Mac)

mySewnet Embroidery Platinum 2021 is the top level of the boxed, one-time-purchase edition of mySewnet Embroidery Software for Windows and Mac. It has the complete set of tools: every wizard in Silver and Gold, plus full digitizing, the Stitch Editor, Draw & Paint, Cross Stitch and ribbon embroidery. This is an older 2021 boxed version: mySewnet is now called CREATIVATE, and the box gets maintenance fixes and new hoop support, not new features.

Works with these computers and machines

• Windows: Windows 10 or later, 4 GB of RAM, 4 GB of free disk space.
• Mac: macOS 10.15 Catalina or later with an Intel processor (the only kind CREATIVATE lists), 4 GB of RAM, 4 GB of free disk space.
• Both: a 1280 x 720 display and internet access.
• Wi-Fi send to CREATIVATE (formerly mySewnet) enabled machines: PFAFF creative icon 2, creative icon, creative expression 750 and creative expect 350; Husqvarna Viking Designer Epic 3, Designer Epic 2, Designer Epic, Designer Ruby 90, Designer Sapphire 85, Designer Brilliance 80, Designer Quartz 29 and Designer Topaz 65.
• Other embroidery machines: save in your machine's format, such as .vp3 (Pfaff and Husqvarna Viking), .pes (Brother, Baby Lock, Bernina), .jef (Janome) or .dst (Tajima).

Not a membership. Platinum 2021 is a copy you own. New features and unlimited Design Catalog designs come only with a paid CREATIVATE membership.

Own older software? Ask about the Platinum 2021 Upgrade first. For lettering and decorating ready-made designs, Silver 2021 or Gold 2021 may be enough.

What it does

Platinum includes every Silver and Gold tool, plus:

• Digitizing: Quick Create, Freehand Create, Point Create, Bezier mode, Creative Fill, Satin Area and Satin Trace, Trace, QuickStitch with Auto Hole, and Sketch (Windows only).
• Stitch Editor: Stitch Morphing, Appliqué Creation, Cutwork Creation, Emboss, Density Advisor, Edit Pattern Fill, Split Design and Multi Wave Lines.
• Draw & Paint: create your own artwork with simple drawing tools, or load a design and edit it to make it your own.
• Cross Stitch and ribbon embroidery: cross-stitch designs, and ribbon designs for the Ribbon Attachment.

How to install it

• Create or sign in to a free CREATIVATE account.
• Enter the activation code from the box on CREATIVATE's software activation page.
• Download the Windows or Mac embroidery software from CREATIVATE's Get Software page and install it.
• New computer later? Sign out of the old one under My Account, Machines.

Expert tip

"Platinum gives you full digitizing, but you don't have to start there. Let a wizard like Express Design do the first pass, then open the design in the Stitch Editor to adjust density and clean up small details. Run a test sew-out on the same fabric and stabilizer as the finished project."

Frequently asked questions

Will Platinum 2021 work with my embroidery machine?

Very likely. It saves in all the major home embroidery formats, and CREATIVATE-enabled Pfaff and Husqvarna Viking machines can also receive designs over Wi-Fi.

Does it run on a Mac?

Yes, on Intel Macs, though Sketch is Windows only. CREATIVATE lists only Intel processors, so ask us before ordering for an Apple-silicon Mac.

Is this the newest version?

No. It's the 2021 boxed edition, and mySewnet (now CREATIVATE) has since moved to memberships. Your copy keeps working without one and gets bug fixes and hoop support, not new features.

Do I need a membership to use it?

No. A free CREATIVATE Basic account is all you need to activate and download it.
