The Baby Lock Euphoria is a dedicated cover stitch machine for the stretchy hems and topstitching you see on ready-to-wear knits. It sews chain stitch plus narrow, wide and triple cover stitches, threads its looper with ExtraordinAir Threading, and works alongside the serger you already own.

Why buy from Imagine Sewing & Vacuum

  • Authorized Baby Lock dealer. Only authorized retailers can issue Baby Lock warranties, so your Euphoria is covered by Baby Lock's 25-year limited warranty.
  • Sewing specialists since 1922. We've helped sewists and garment makers choose the right machine for more than a century.
  • Factory-trained technicians. The people who service Baby Lock machines can help with threading, needle and cover stitch hemming questions, before and after you buy.
  • Free shipping on orders over $299. This machine qualifies.

Made for knit hems and topstitching

  • Four stitch types. Sew a 2-thread chain stitch in three needle positions, a 3-thread narrow cover stitch (left or right), a 3-thread wide cover stitch and a 4-thread triple cover stitch, 3 mm or 6 mm wide.
  • Looper threading at the push of a button. ExtraordinAir Threading uses air to send thread through the chain looper, so there are no looper guides to work through with tweezers.
  • Needle tension handled for you. Automatic Thread Delivery sets the needle thread tension, so you can thread the needles in any order. One dial adjusts the chain looper, and Baby Lock suggests 2 to 3 for most stitches.
  • Three needles, one threader. Set the built-in needle threader to C1, C2 or C3 and press the lever to thread the left, center or right needle.
  • Room for bigger projects. 5 inches to the right of the needle and three LED lights make larger pieces easier to handle and see.
  • Hands stay on the fabric. The included knee lifter raises the presser foot, and the feed dogs drop automatically when the foot rises. The foot lifts up to 6 mm for lofty knits.
  • Flat hems on stretchy fabric. Differential feed gathers up to 2.0 or stretches down to 0.6, which helps prevent wavy hems on knits and puckers on lightweight fabric.

Is the Euphoria right for you?

It's the best fit if you already own a serger, sew a lot of knits, activewear or T-shirts, and want hems that stretch with the fabric and look like ready-to-wear.

Good to know before you buy: the Euphoria doesn't serge. It has no knife and no overlock stitch, so it can't trim or finish raw edges on its own. It uses Organ ELx705 CF needles, not the HAx1SP needles most sergers use. Baby Lock doesn't list a free arm in its specifications.

  • Need to finish seams and raw edges too? The Baby Lock Victory is a 4/3/2-thread serger with Jet-Air Threading and Automatic Thread Delivery for sewing and finishing seams before you hem.
  • Want serging and cover stitch in one machine? The Baby Lock Splendor is an 8/7/6-thread serger with cover and chain stitches, ExtraordinAir looper threading and 2 inches to the right of the needle.
  • Want a combination machine with 5 inches of space? The Baby Lock Triumph threads its loopers and needles with RevolutionAir Threading and offers 87 stitch combinations and variable speed control.

Expert tip

"Use the Organ ELx705 CF needles Baby Lock specifies for the Euphoria, not the HAx1SP needles from your serger, and always start with fabric under the needles. To finish a hem sewn in the round, overlap the stitching about 1/2 inch, turn the handwheel toward you until the needles are down, then reverse it until they're at their highest point. Raise the presser foot and pull the fabric firmly to the left before you cut the threads."

Frequently asked questions

Is the Baby Lock Euphoria a serger?

It's a cover stitch machine. Baby Lock lists it with its sergers, but it has no knife and doesn't sew overlock stitches. Pair it with a serger to sew and finish seams, and use the Euphoria for hems.

What needles does the Euphoria use?

Organ ELx705 CF needles. It comes set up with size 90/14 for medium and heavyweight fabrics, and Baby Lock recommends 80/12 for lightweight fabrics.

Do I need to adjust the tension?

Not for the needles. Automatic Thread Delivery handles them. The chain looper has one dial from 0 to 5. Set it between 2 and 3 for most stitches, higher for a tighter looper thread and lower for a looser one.

Can I use the Euphoria with a serger from another brand?

Yes. The Euphoria is a standalone machine, so it works alongside any serger or sewing machine.

Should I buy the Euphoria or a combination machine like the Splendor?

A combination machine saves table space but must be converted between serging and cover stitch. With the Euphoria and a separate serger, both stay set up, and you get 5 inches to the right of the needle instead of the Splendor's 2.
