Miele U AirClean 3D FilterBags for Dynamic U1 and S7 Uprights (4-Pack)

Genuine Miele Type U AirClean 3D Efficiency FilterBags fit Miele Dynamic U1 and S7 upright vacuums. Each box holds four green-collar bags, a new motor protection filter and a new exhaust filter, so you can refresh both filters every time you open a box.

Fits these Miele vacuums

• Miele Dynamic U1 uprights
• Miele S7 series uprights

Not for Miele canister vacuums. Type U bags are for Miele's uprights only. The Classic C1 and Complete C3 use Type GN bags, the Guard M1 uses Type CO bags, the Guard L1 uses Type TU bags, and the Compact C1 and C2 use Type FJM bags.

Not sure which bag you need? U bags have a green collar, and the box and bag are marked with the letter U. The model name is on your vacuum's rating plate. Send us your model and we'll confirm the fit before you order.

Why genuine Miele bags matter

• Fine-dust filtration. Miele says AirClean 3D Efficiency bags filter out more than 99.9% of fine dust particles (IEC 62885-2, in Miele vacuums with the AirClean filter system).
• The whole bag gets used. Miele designed the 3D bag to use its full capacity and to clean efficiently at low power settings.
• Cleaner bag changes. The collar closes automatically when you lift the bag out, so dust stays inside on the way to the trash.
• Warranty protection. Miele's warranty doesn't cover damage caused by bags and accessories that aren't made by Miele.

What's in the box

• 4 Miele Type U AirClean 3D Efficiency FilterBags
• 1 motor protection filter
• 1 flat exhaust filter

The flat exhaust filter is for uprights with Miele's standard AirClean filter. If your upright has a cartridge exhaust filter, such as a HEPA or Active AirClean filter, keep using it and set the flat filter aside. Use only one exhaust filter at a time.

When to change the bag and filters

• Bag: change it when the bag-change indicator shows full.
• Motor protection and flat exhaust filters: swap in the new ones from each box when you start the first bag.
• Cartridge exhaust filter: Miele says to change its HEPA AirClean filter once a year. Miele lists the 30-series SF-HA 30 HEPA AirClean for both the Dynamic U1 and the S7. The Dynamic U1 also takes the SF-AA 30 Active AirClean for odors.

Going through bags quickly? The Type U Performance Pack includes 16 bags, 4 motor protection filters and an SF-HA 30 HEPA filter.

Expert tip

"On an upright, a full bag shows up first as weaker suction at the hose. Before you blame the motor, check the bag, the motor protection filter and the hose for a clog. Swap in the fresh motor filter from each new box."

Frequently asked questions

Will Type U bags fit a Miele canister vacuum?

No. Type U bags are made for Miele's Dynamic U1 and S7 uprights. Canisters take GN, FJM, CO or TU bags, depending on the model.

Which exhaust filter goes with Type U bags?

Both uprights take the 30-series SF-HA 30 HEPA AirClean. Miele also lists the SF-AA 30 Active AirClean odor filter for the Dynamic U1. Miele lists the 50-series filters for its canisters, not these uprights.

How often should I change the bag?

When the bag-change indicator shows full. Homes with pets or lots of carpet fill bags faster, so check more often.

Why does the box include two small filters?

Miele packs a new motor protection filter and a new flat exhaust filter with every four bags, so you can keep the filters fresh as you go through the bags.
