Get to Know Your Serger – Layton
Whatever brand your serger is, get the skills you need to use it to its fullest potential in this four-part series. Learn how a serger works, how to thread your serger, and how to adjust the differential feed. We will experiment with tensions and learn to adjust them for the best stitch as we make samples on the various fabrics that will be included in your kit. You will also learn about helpful notions and how to use them. Following sessions will focus on the various stitches available and how to use them for construction and embellishments, and the use of decorative threads. Class focuses on sergers without air threading, however, air threading machines are welcome! (Note: Kit fee will be waived for last session if you attend first three.)
